The RH2INE-network
The main aim of RH2INE is to develop the use of hydrogen in inland shipping and to coordinate the activities along the Rhine – and its tributaries - for the development of the use of hydrogen in inland shipping. The goal is to establish a market ready hydrogen system for inland shipping. This means that both the shipping side as well as the necessary infrastructure needs to be developed, including the value chain of the supply of hydrogen.
Twelve steering members and over thirty partners from Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Zwitserland and Austria, work together across borders within the RH2INE initiative to achieve these objectives. They are organized into six specialized working groups, each dedicated to key aspects of the initiative. Through this structured collaboration, RH2INE aims to accelerate the development and implementation of hydrogen-based solutions for sustainable and efficient transport, fostering innovation and impact on an international scale.
